Covid Travel - India to SG - Dec'21

Chennai to Singapore: (Non-VTL AirIndia 0346)

Documents Required:

Had to take a printout of all

1. Tickets
2. RT-PCR Test Result
3. Visa Doc
4. SG Arrival Card
5. SG Arrival Swab Test confirmation with QR code
6. Passport
7. Entry Approval

Chennai:

• At the entrance - documents check
• A new document from AI was given to fill in the visa details
• AirIndia counter, again same set of documents check.
• Complimentary Face-shield and Mask from AI; at immigration entry
• Immigration - Standard - Only Passport/Visa check
• You are expected to wear a mask and face shield in the flight

Singapore (SG):

• No face shield required, but Mask is mandatory
• Temperature check
• Guided directly into immigration lobby
• Immigration: Documents Check - All + Biometric and Photo
• Guided to Swab Test
• Verification of your Swab Test booking and barcode generated
• Guided to Swab test counters - there were multiple of them (10+)
• Take the Swab test
• Guided: Exit the airport - Taxi stand or Arrival Pickup
• Go to your SHN facility

Note:

• SG airport was well organised and guided - Impressive 😍
• No shopping is possible at SG airport
• Toilets are accessible after immigration
• At SG it took me less than 1hr
• Install TraceTogether App and register/enable it after immigration

Recommendation:

• Carry a Pen
• Go early to the airport (4hrs) as the document check takes a lot of time.
• Carry a face shield - personal the complimentary one wasn’t comfortable.
• Ensure you book the SG Arrival Swab Test in advance
